The University of the Basque Country (Universidad del País Vasco / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea), through its International Relations Department, organises Language Courses for Foreigners since 1.992.

Since the beginning, one of our major objectives has been the training of teachers who will be teaching Spanish as a second language. This training has been requested repeatedly not only by Graduates and Diploma holders from our University, but also by undergraduate students in the second cycle and teachers of a second language who, up until now, had to travel to other universities or centres to carry out these studies.

Following the signing of a collaboration agreement with Instituto Cervantes, we have been able to provide this training through specific programmes. These courses are structured around a range of subjects with linguistic, educational, and methodological content.
