The University of the Basque Country, in partnership with the Spanish Instituto Cervantes, offer all their students the possibility to evaluate and certify their level of Spanish through the DELE exams (Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language). Diplomas are structured in three levels: Beginners (A1 and A2), intermediate (B1 and B2) and advanced (C1 and C2) even if the University of the Basque country only organizes intermediate (B2) and advanced level exams (C1 and C2).
Exams are held at The Campus of Álava of the University of the Basque Country in May and/or November.
All students, including those on mobility programmes administered by the Vice-Rectorate for International Relations, shall pay the enrolment fee for the Diploma.
For further information about the DELE exam, please contact:On completion of the courses, the University of the Basque Country will issue a CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE AND PROFICIENCY to those students who have attended at least 80% of classes and passed the tests established for such purpose.
Students belonging to mobility programmes administered by the Vice-Rectorate for International Relations of the University of the Basque Country will be granted the following number of ECTS credits in their transcript of records if they successfully pass the tests established by the teachers for that purpose.
Other UPV/EHU students, that cannot be registered in GAUR, will receive a CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE AND PROFICIENCY if they pass the tests established by the teachers for that purpose.

To ensure their participation on the course, students must hand over all documentation prior to commencement of each course.
Exchange students should make sure they are well registered in GAUR in their faculties or centres for the Autumn and Spring Spanish and Basque courses.
Dates and schedules of the courses available in this website might vary according to the Campus academic calendars. Any change will be updated in this website as soon as possible.
Students not belonging to mobility programmes will only be allowed to take each level courses once.
